Gloria Helen Lenzner, lifelong Antigo area resident, died Tuesday, December 16 at Langlade Hospital at the age of 87.
She was born May 17, 1927 in the Antigo area, daughter of the late Eugene and Evelyn (Carlson) Jacobs. She married Roy “Bud” Lenzner on May 29, 1948 in Pittsfield, IL. Bud preceded her in death on November 7, 1995.
Mrs. Lenzner was a 1945 graduate of Antigo High School. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She cared for her family, and she also took in, raised, and nurtured many people over the years. All were welcome to share in the meals that she prepared.
She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and visiting the casino. She attended the TOPS group in Antigo. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Antigo.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Alan) Lese of Antigo; 3 sons, Wayne (Laura) Lenzner of Antigo, Scott (Shawn) Lenzner of Birnamwood, and Brian (Julia) Lenzner of Birnamwood; grandchildren, Corey (Kristi) Lese of Antigo, Courtney Lese of Antigo, Justin Conley of Antigo, Latisha Lenzner of Antigo, Ali Lenzner of Antigo, Eric (Melissa) Gittens of Antigo, Michael (Mary) Ingram of Antigo, Janelle Ingram of Kenosha; great-grandchildren, Kiana, Payten, Kayliahna, Grace, Adelyn, Kolton, and Kendall; sisters-in-law, Delores, Etta, and her special sister-in-law Joanie; special friends, Ed and Shirley Carley, Cindy and Joan Steckbauer, Todd Brandt; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Fauster; a brother, Eugene Jacobs; 4 brothers-in-law Willard, Russell, James, and Conley; and a sister-in-law, Stella.
