H.R. "Larry" LaBelle, 83

H. R. "Larry" LaBelle, age 83, died peacefully among family on December 11, 2019. He was born in 1936 in White Lake, to Roy and Clara (Wagner) LaBelle. His wife, Beverly (Ploenske) and his infant children, Kathryn and Michael, preceded him in death. His sister Carol Wojan, his brother James LaBelle, and his nephews Mathew LaBelle and Mark Wojan also preceded Larry in death.

Larry graduated from White Lake High School in 1954 and received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1959. He served honorably in the Wisconsin National Guard from 1959 until 1965.

Larry and Beverly founded and owned Diacar Products Inc, in Hales Corners, WI. They designed and produced carbide-cutting tools for manufacturers in the Milwaukee area, across the state of Wisconsin and around the world for over 30 years.

Larry had many interests and hobbies. He was an experienced outdoorsman and sailor, an accomplished photographer and ham radio operator and sang in his church and community choirs. Beverly and he were world travelers, attending many Elder Hostels programs around the country. He had a love for live steam engines and traveled to see these big engines steam and chug and roar past on the rails. This only rivaled his love for his football team- the Packers. He followed the Green Bay Packers with a passion and was both a team shareowner and a season ticket holder.

His sister-in- law, Kay LaBelle, survives Larry along with nephews Steven Wojan (Maggie) and Curtis Wojan (Kathy) and nieces Debra Krause (David), Andrea Reynolds (Michael) and Shelley Wojan. Also surviving are grand nephews Paul and Jon Krause, Nathaniel and Christopher Wojan, Ryan and Connor Reynolds, Brian Wojan and James Wojan. His surviving grandnieces are Jenna Wojan and Erin Wojan.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St James Catholic Church in White Lake, on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 11 a.m.with Rev. Edmundo Siguenza officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Visitation will be an hour before the funeral at church.

Memorials are preferred and may be made to the charity of the donor's choice
