Irene Lucille Lorbiecki, 84

Mrs. Irene Lorbiecki of Galloway unexpectedly passed away at her home on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at the age of 84.

Irene was born at home to parents Stanley and Mary Pliska on August 21, 1931 near Rosholt, Wisconsin. Irene was one of eleven children.

In 1948 Irene married Ernest Lorbiecki. They made their home in Galloway and operated several businesses including a bar, a feed mill and a potato farm. Irene and Ernest had three children.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Bonita (Bonnie) Lorbiecki, JoAnn Babcock and Mark Lorbiecki; her siblings Delores Kluck, Raymond Pliska and Richard Pliska; her five grandchildren, Jessica Bierwerth, Sara Bushman, Ashley Cubillos, Taylor Lorbiecki and Justice Lorbiecki; and two great-grandchildren, Eddie and Sammy Bierwerth.

Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ernest; her parents Stanley and Mary; her brothers Stanley Pliska Jr, Rickard Pliska, Jerome Pliska, Donald Pliska, Gene Pliska; and her sisters, Ramoma Lorbiecki, Dorothy Kluck and Virginia Sommers.

Per her wishes, Irene will be cremated. Visitation and a Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Galloway on Thursday March 3, 2016. Visitation will occur from 9:30-10:30, Mass will be at 10:30am. The family will privately scatter Irene's ashes in the spring.
