Isabelle Rita Cavers, 94, a long-time Antigo resident, died peacefully Saturday, October 28 2017 at The Estates of Fridley nursing home in Fridley, Minn. Born on Dec. 12, 1922 in Antigo, Wis., a daughter of the late Anton and Eleanor (Walkowski) Baranzyk. She married James Cavers of White Lake, with whom she had one child, Joanne in 1952. Jim preceded her in death in 1968. She also married Bob Lucynski, who also preceded her in death.
She attended St. John Catholic Grade School, graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1940, and graduated with a degree in business education from Whitewater State University in Whitewater, Wis in 1946. She taught for the White Lake and Antigo, Wis. school districts, and eventually moved to suburban Minneapolis.
A vivacious woman, Isabelle enjoyed knitting, crafts of all kinds, traveling, and playing the piano.
Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Granneman of Coon Rapids, Minn. and a granddaughter, Diana Granneman of Minneapolis, Minn., as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, is was preceded in death by three sisters, Thersea Wyras, Florentine Baranzyk, and Dolores Callahan and four brothers, Vincent, Aloysius, Jerome and Leo Baranzyk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday Nov. 7, 10:30am. Epiphany Catholic Church, 1900 111th Ave NW, Coon Rapids, Minn. 55433. Visitation one hour before service. A burial service in Antigo will be held at a later date.
