Jacqueline "Jackie" Nickolai, 82

Jacqueline “Jackie” Nickolai, age 82, of White Lake died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.

Jackie was born on September 25, 1934 in Town of Nashville, WI to the late Henry C. and Della (Swim) Strong.

On June 27, 1953 she was united in marriage to Elmer J. “John” Nickolai at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in White Lake.

Elmer preceded her in death on March 24, 2013.

Elmer and Jackie owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Wolf River. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.

Jackie moved to the Polar area as a girl. She attended Polar Grade School and graduated from White Lake High School in 1952.

She was an active member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in White Lake and was a member of their Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and Altar Guild. She also was in the quilting circle there.

Jackie was active as member of the White Lake American Legion Auxiliary Post #524 and White Lake Area Historical Society.

Survivors include 5 sons, Nicholas of Phoenix, Daniel (Colleen) of White Lake, Jerome (Judy) of Birnamwood, Stephen (Penny) of White Lake, Randall (Merlyn) of Wausau, 16 grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Selina, Ryan, Jason, Zackary, Ashley, Tina, Justin, Joshua, Joel, Jorden, Hilary, Daniel, Lydia, Emily, 18 great grandchildren, Chase, Austin, Adrian, Ethan, Haliegh, Layla, Jerrin, Jace, Lilly, Alex, Zach, Jasmine, Peter, Angel, Karen, Sierra, Elaina Sue, Alexis, a sister, Judy (James) Popelka of White Lake, a brother, Floyd (Bernadine) Strong of Plymouth and a sister-in-law, Loretta Strong of White Lake. Jackie was also blessed with the news of the expected arrival of a new grandchild and a new great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her step father, Alex Strong, her son Jeffrey Nickolai, 2 brothers, Walter and Floyd Strong and a daughter-in-law Jeanne Nickolai.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:00 noon at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in White Lake. Reverend Kelly Smith will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 AM until the service at the church. Interment will be in Langlade Cemetery.
