Josephine (Keidle) Rank, of Antigo, died Friday, April 26, 2019, at Rosalia Gardens under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 87 years old. She was born on July 19, 1931, in the town of Rolling, a daughter of Albert and Helen (Antoniewicz) Marciniak. She married Richard Keidle November 25, 1950 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1998. On December 4, 1999, she married Anton Rank at St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2014.
She attended Sunnyside grade school, St. Hyacinth Parochial school and graduated Antigo High School with the class of 1949.
As a young lady she was employed at Allen Bradley in Milwaukee as a riveter and as a clerk at Wolf's Rexall Pharmacy in St. Francis.
In 1973 she moved to Iowa and continued schooling at Marshalltown Community College graduating from Nursing school in 1977. She was a nurse at Marshalltown Care Facility for 13 years.
Josephine returned to the Antigo area and was employed at Eastview Nursing Home retiring in 1996. She then worked part-time for Hickey Floral.
She was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church and its Rosary Society, the Noetzelman-Boodry American Legion Post #377-Auxiliary in Elcho.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, bowling, and knitting.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Somporn) Keidle of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Linda Arnold of St. Anthony, Iowa, Cheryl (Arthur) Cruz of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joan Pregler of Antigo, Mary (Ken) Rine of Bryant, Cynthia (Rick) Hurlbert of Post Lake; two brothers, Albert (Eleanor) Marciniak of Waukesha, Pat (Rose) Marciniak of Antigo; two sisters-in-law, Betty Marciniak of Wausau, Bonnie Marciniak of Shawano.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; a son-in-law, Bruce Arnold; a daughter-in-law, Joy Keidle; a sister, Rose (James) Jansen; four brothers, Hyacinth "Jack" Marciniak, Francis "Frank" (Connie) Marciniak, Valerian "Larry" Marciniak, Richard (Norma) Marciniak; a brother-in-law, Jerry Pregler.
The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. The Elcho American Legion Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. and a parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday also at the funeral home.
