Karon Schroepfer, of Plover, died Monday, February 8, 2016 at home. She was 72 years old. She was born on September 29, 1943 in Milwaukee a daughter of John "Jack" and Clara (Gallenberg) Kryka. She married Richard Schroepfer on August 4, 1962 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He survives.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1961.
Karon worked for Alan Bradley Company in their Milwaukee factory and retired in 2002.
She and her husband moved to Plover in 2007.
She enjoyed playing games especially Scrabble and Skip Bo.
Survivors including her husband are three sons, Scott (Jennifer) Schroepfer of McHenry, IL, Robin (Joyce) Schroepfer of East Troy, Randall (Jenny) Schroepfer of Eagle; nine grandchildren Karl, Allison, Dean Schroepfer, Michelle (Chris) Knoelke, Amanda (Mark) Buchholtz, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Parker and Bella Schroepfer; two great-grandchildren Kelsey Knoelke and Henry Buchholtz;
five sisters, Pat (Larry) Svaton of Stevens Point, Kathleen (Eugene) Ickes of Sumter, NC, Jackie (Dick) Fondow of Antigo, Helen (Norman) Dieter of Birnamwood, Lee (Ed) Smith of Crandon;
five brothers, Tom (Jeanne) Kryka of Tempe, AZ, Dick (Diane) Kryka of Bend, Oregon, Tony (Guyla) Kryka of Northville, MI, Jim (Nancy) Kryka of Sarasota, Florida, John (Dana) Kryka of Antigo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Friday all at the Bradley Funeral Home.
