Katherine Zdanovec, of Antigo, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 102 years old. She was born on October 23, 1915, in the town of Harrison, Marathon County, a daughter of John and Rose (Kryshak) Glugla. She married James Zdanovec on May 1, 1936, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1973.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1933.

Her pride and joy was being a homemaker, raising her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They will long remember her baking skills - especially her Saturday night kolachies.

She was a lifelong member of SS. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Parker, Antigo, Virginia Domino, Antigo; four sons, James T (Marlene) Zdanovec, Oshkosh, Albert Zdanovec, Antigo, Stanley (Sue) Zdanovec, Appleton, Eugene (Amy) Zdanovec, Little Chute; 17 grandchildren Natalie (David) McMillan, Lynn Mooney, Alana Zdanovec, Jamie Zdanovec, Wayne (Kelly) Zdanovec, Nicole (Tom) Lazorik, Ryan Parker, Chad (Stephanie) Parker, Dr. Amber Zdanovec (Josh Seubert), Aubree (Christian) Tillett, Zach Zdanovec, Kathy (Dan) Cherek, Linda (Jason) Jones, Jenny Domino, Nathan, Brett and Bryce Zdanovec; 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Edward and Jerome; three sisters, Josephine Kaffka, Cecelia Glugla and Angeline Wodalski; six brothers Victor, Raymond, Ted, Peter, Alexander and Stanley Glugla; a son-in-law Cliff Parker.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Bradley Funeral Home.

With gratitude, the family extends a special thank you to family caregivers, Albert Zdanovec and Rose Parker, and to LeRoyer Hospice for the loving care extended to Katherine.
