Keith Hackbarth, of Deerbrook, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Care Partners Assisted Living. He was 87 years old. He was born on July 16, 1937 in Merrill, a son of Walter and Audrey (Van Price) Hackbarth. He married Carole Krall on April 16, 1958 at St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva. She preceded him in death on August 15, 2014.

Keith was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1956.

He worked at his uncle's gas station in Antigo, Schulz Creamery, Wausau Iron Works, and then Duchac Lumber for 18 years before starting his own carpentry and finishing business. He also operated a dairy farm and beef cattle.

Keith enjoyed dancing and motorcycle rides with his wife, collectables, and classic country music.

He was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Hackbarth of Stevens Point and Cathy Igl of Antigo; a son, Rick Hackbarth of Stevens Point; four grandchildren, Adam (Carrie) Igl, Dana Packard, Megan Hackbarth, and Ty Hackbarth; three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Hayden, and Ever; three brothers, Dan (Carol) Hackbarth of Omaha, AR, Tom (Linda) Hackbarth of Antigo, Gary (Nancy) Hackbarth of Phlox; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Hackbarth of Titusville, FL.

In addition to his parents and wife, Carole, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Hackbarth; sister, Patricia (Fritz) Schulz.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church with Rev. Kamal Gopu officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, April 1 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
