The Annual Langlade 4-H Achievement Banquet was recently held on November 10th at Northstar Lanes to honor Langlade County 4-Her’s!  Over 160 4-H members, their families, and special guests attended the annual awards banquet. Youth members, adult volunteers, supporters, and clubs were recognized for their achievements and dedication to 4-H over the past year. The event included an awards ceremony, dinner, raffles, and games. The 4-H Awards planning committee, which consisted of Stephanie Loderbauer, Kathy Hohensee, Gene Matuszewski, Sara Adamski, and Lynn Rasmussen, planned the event.

Club members were recognized for their years in 4-H and their extraordinary achievements this past year. Langlade County 4-H clubs include the Aniwa Rockets, Bryant Hi-Flyers, Deerbrook Eager Beavers, Dream Catchers, Elcho Explorers, Evergreen, Lucky Rivers, Mayflower, Neff Switch Acorns, Phlox Flames, Tree Toppers, Triple Creek, and Triple Progress.

The Wisconsin 4-H Key Award is among the highest recognitions a 4-H member can receive. This award recognizes a select group of 4-H participants who have demonstrated consistent growth in their 4-H involvement, developed and applied their leadership skills, and actively participated in their 4-H club and community functions. The State Key Award was awarded to Jacob Adamski and Laura Rydberg.

Deb Hatfield Franske was recognized as ending her 4-H Leader service after being a 4-H leader for many years. Tina Wild of the Deerbrook Eager Beavers was presented with the Outstanding 4-H Leader of the Year award. This is given to a project leader who has gone above and beyond for their club. Tina was also recognized for being a 4-H Leader for 30 years.

The Friend of 4-H Award is presented to someone who has given back to 4-H throughout the year. Swine & Dine, Dan & Dawn Packard received the award this year. Last, Duke and Kathy Packard of North Central Sales Auctions were recognized for their many years of dedication to 4-H.
