August 10th

The day began with a 911 hang-up call on Lincoln Street at 8:34 AM; officers attempted a callback and left a voicemail. Later, at 11:36 AM, a traffic stop at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Superior Street resulted in a written warning for speeding. Shortly after, at 11:54 AM on Superior Street, an officer advised an individual selling potatoes that they needed a direct seller's permit from the city to continue. A parking complaint was lodged at 12:38 PM from Aspirus Langlade Hospital regarding a Jeep taking up two parking spots in front of urgent care. In the afternoon, at 3:57 PM, a driver received a verbal warning during a traffic stop at US 45 and County Rd X. A harassment complaint was filed at 4:13 PM by individuals at the Safety Building who reported someone punching their vehicle's window. A juvenile offense was reported at the intersection of Hudson Street and 5th Avenue at 4:57 PM. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Superior Street near Family Dollar at 6:59 PM, issuing a verbal warning for a defective taillight. Another traffic stop in the same location at 7:29 PM resulted in a referral for operating after revocation and driving without an ignition interlock device. At 7:54 PM, a driver at the intersection of Edison Street and 6th Avenue was given a verbal warning for unnecessary acceleration. A harassment complaint was made at 8:10 PM on Dorr Street, where a resident reported someone staring at her from a neighbor's property. Officers later spoke with the owner of the neighboring home and relayed the message to leave the caller alone. August 11th

Early in the morning, at 1:03 AM, officers checked on an unoccupied vehicle at the Green Hen on Superior Street and found no issues. An officer on patrol checked the area of Century Avenue and Neva Road at 3:08 AM. At 10:21 AM, a traffic stop was conducted at Neva Road and Prosser Place. A motorist was locked out of their Ford F-150 at Fleet Farm on Neva Road at 10:39 AM. A lost phone was found near Strasser Roller on Edison Street and 6th Avenue at 10:55 AM. A two-vehicle property damage accident was reported at Aspirus Langlade Hospital at 10:58 AM, where it appeared two vehicles backed into each other. At 11:21 AM, a citizen reported finding two stray dogs, a black lab mix and a multi-colored mutt, near 2nd and Virginia Street and was taking them to the Humane Society. A series of 911 hang-up calls were received from the Holiday Inn Express on Neva Road throughout the afternoon and evening. An animal complaint was filed at 4:11 PM on Charlotte Street after a dog reportedly caused a welt on a child's hand and arm, though it did not break the skin. At 6:28 PM, two German Shepherds were reported running on State Road 64 between Hogan and Western. A report of a suspicious male with pipes on his car at 10th Avenue and Clermont Street at 7:07 PM was unfounded, as the individual was working for a company on the pipes in the area. At 9:28 PM, a truck hit a telephone pole on Clermont Street, leading to the driver being taken into custody for a first-offense OWI. The day ended with a report of disorderly conduct at the Rainbow Laundry on 5th Avenue at 11:20 PM, where a driver in a black CRV allegedly flashed something at the caller. One individual was taken into custody but later released with no charges.

August 12th

A resident on Dorr Street requested assistance with bats in their home at 3:10 AM. A suspicious person was reported looking at houses and pacing near 6th Avenue and Edison Street at 3:11 AM, but officers were unable to locate the individual. At 6:18 AM, a resident on Lincoln Street reported seeing someone on their security camera walk through their yard around 3:00 AM and remove a cord securing a gate. Loose dogs were reported in the 700 block of Clermont Street at 8:05 AM; an officer was able to put them back in their fenced yard. Rosalia Gardens on Flight Road reported they would be testing their fire alarm systems for approximately six hours starting at 8:19 AM. At 9:36 AM, a citizen on Dorr Street reported that someone had attempted to drill into their storage unit. A suspicious person was reported at Kwik Trip South on Superior Street at 1:35 PM; the individual had reportedly been there for a while and smelled of urine. A welfare check was conducted at TJ Maxx on State Road 64 at 2:20 PM. Two individuals were taken into custody on probation holds at Probation and Parole on Clermont Street in the afternoon. At 9:18 PM, a complaint was received about a dog barking for hours on Elm Street. A blue pickup truck was reported swerving on Clermont Street and Mendlik Avenue at 9:54 PM; an officer located the driver and informed them of the complaint, which the driver denied.

August 15th

An officer was flagged down at Wolf River Realty on Neva Road at 6:05 AM by a citizen who wanted to thank law enforcement for their service. At 12:44 PM, a citizen came to the Safety Building to report they believe someone loosened the lug nuts on their truck in the Dunham's parking lot. A lockout of a vehicle was reported at Aspirus Langlade Hospital at 3:45 PM. A 911 hang-up call from Walmart at 3:25 PM was determined to be an accidental activation of an SOS mode. A harassment complaint was filed at 7:59 PM at Dunham's. At 10:19 PM, a traffic stop at Edison Street and Ackley Street resulted in a verbal warning for no taillights. The night concluded with officers checking on Castle Park on Field Street at 10:43 PM.

August 16th

Disorderly conduct was reported at Kwik Trip on State Road 64 at 1:32 AM. A traffic stop at 2:25 AM at the intersection of E 5th Avenue and Park Street resulted in a citation. An officer patrolled the area of Aspirus Langlade Hospital at 3:13 AM. A harassment complaint was made from the Kwik Trip on S Superior Street at 5:16 AM. Officers assisted with a funeral procession at 8:21 AM, which proceeded southbound from the funeral home on 5th Avenue and Superior Street before heading east on 5th Avenue. A lockout was reported at 9:21 AM. At 9:37 AM, officers dealt with subjects arguing at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. A 911 hang-up from Fleet Farm on Neva Road was reported at 10:32 AM. A hit and run was reported at 3:50 PM in the alleyway by the Opera House; the reporting party stated their vehicle was rear-ended and the other driver left. An alarm at Pizza Hut at 5:42 PM was determined to be a false alarm after an employee was contacted. A traffic stop was conducted on a golf cart at the intersection of Deleglise Street and 7th Avenue at 4:15 PM, and the driver was advised that golf carts are not allowed on city streets. At 7:16 PM, a caller reported a vehicle passing in a no-passing zone on Superior Street and 5th Avenue. An animal complaint regarding a loose dog was made at 8:07 PM; the owner was contacted and brought the dog inside for the night. Another animal complaint was received at 9:14 PM about a dog running loose near the fire department on Dorr Street and 5th Avenue, which had reportedly bitten the caller, who declined medical attention. A report of a sexual assault was taken at 9:34 PM.

August 17th

A follow-up investigation was conducted on Elm Street at 12:12 AM. At 2:33 AM, an officer investigated a burning complaint on Virginia Street. An officer was on patrol at Aspirus Langlade Hospital at 2:59 AM. A tree was reported across the road on North Avenue, east of Pioneer Road, at 6:11 AM. Two reports related to computer and internet crimes were filed at the Langlade County Safety Building at 6:37 AM and 6:38 AM. A welfare check was conducted on 6th Avenue at 10:18 AM. At 1:34 PM on 3rd Avenue, a resident reported a vehicle with two dogs inside and the windows only slightly cracked. A theft was reported on Superior Street at 4:00 PM. A person turned themselves in on a probation warrant at the Langlade County Safety Building at 5:27 PM. A 911 hang-up call on Sunset Drive at 7:22 PM was a misdial. A complaint about fireworks on Langlade Road was received at 7:49 PM; officers patrolled the area and advised residents to stop. A juvenile offense was reported on Weed Street at 8:22 PM. At 9:06 PM, a request was made from the jail on 6th Avenue. The evening ended with a patrol of Castle Park on Field Street at 11:35 PM.

August 18th

A traffic stop was initiated at 12:05 AM at the intersection of Charlotte Street and North Avenue, where the owner of the vehicle received a verbal warning. An officer patrolled the area of Aspirus Langlade Hospital at 4:31 AM. A welfare check was requested at 7:21 AM on Hogan Street for an individual who had not been heard from since the previous night; contact was eventually made, and everything was fine. At 7:49 AM, an officer was requested to make contact with an individual on Bridge Street regarding a civil matter. A reported theft on Ackley Street at 8:05 AM was resolved when the reporting party found the missing item. A citizen locked their keys and purse in their Chrysler 200 on Fred Street at 8:23 AM. At 8:50 AM, a resident came to the Safety Building to report her dog was missing, but later called to say the dog had returned home. A loose black shepherd mix was reported on Superior Street at 9:19 AM; a second caller reported the same dog had been aggressive towards their dog earlier in the day. Officers assisted with a funeral procession at 9:53 AM that left from Bradley's and headed north on Highway 45. A citizen came to the Safety Building at 11:13 AM to speak with an officer about property that was sold in a recent house sale. A probation hold was placed on an individual at the Probation and Parole office on Clermont Street at 2:11 PM. A two-vehicle accident with no injuries occurred at 2:34 PM at the intersection of Neva Road and Century Avenue, blocking a southbound lane of traffic. One driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Another two-vehicle accident was reported at 2:42 PM in the parking lots of the vape shop and Fleet Farm on Neva Road and Prosser Place. A 911 hang-up call from Morse Street at 3:02 PM came from a number that was not in service. A fire call was received at 5:27 PM from Freiburger Avenue, where a resident saw smoke after drilling into a wall; no flames were present, but the wall was hot. At 5:52 PM, a resident at Lakeside Pharmacy on 5th Avenue reported that their trailer came apart and struck their vehicle. An individual was taken into custody on a warrant on Lincoln Street at 7:48 PM. A traffic stop at 7:06 PM at Elm Street and 7th Avenue resulted in a written warning for non-registration. A civil complaint was filed at 7:52 PM by a person subleasing on Superior Street who reported the primary tenant was going into their room and rearranging things. At 8:28 PM, an officer stopped a vehicle at Prosser Place and Neva Road, resulting in a citation for operating while suspended and verbal warnings for no proof of insurance and a defective headlight. A report of a dog being tied up outside for five hours on an unspecified street was investigated at 8:28 PM, and the officer found the dogs were inside. A suspicious dark SUV was reported running for an hour in the Family Dollar parking lot on Superior Street at 9:10 PM; the occupant was found to be on a phone call. Officers advised individuals at the Antigo Optimist Skate Park of the park's hours at 9:07 PM.

August 13th

Early in the morning, at 1:06 AM, a caller on County Rd F reported being followed by a white car, but deputies were unable to locate the suspicious vehicle. A traffic stop at 4:52 AM on State Rd 64 at Roehrig Rd resulted in a citation for operating after revocation. A traffic complaint was lodged at 6:44 AM regarding a red Dodge Ram dually that reportedly almost ran the caller off the road on US 45 at County Rd T. Multiple 911 hang-up calls were received throughout the day, including an accidental call at 2:54 PM from someone on Moccasin Lake who pocket-dialed. A domestic incident was reported at 12:51 PM on Piela Ln, where a female caller, who was very erratic, stated a male had hit her and backed his vehicle into hers earlier in the day; the male, who had two outstanding warrants, was later taken into custody. At 1:10 PM, a suspicious incident was reported on Lake St where a friend watching a house noticed two upstairs windows open that should have been closed; deputies checked the residence and found all was secure. A civil complaint regarding a property dispute and tree cutting was filed at 2:57 PM on Our Dr, and the reporting party was advised it was a civil matter. Later in the evening, a traffic stop at 8:36 PM on County Rd K at County Rd U resulted in a correction notice for a defective headlight and no proof of insurance.

August 14th

A traffic complaint was made at 7:16 AM about a white van with "Complete Plumbing" on the side, passing in no-passing zones and traveling at approximately 80 mph on State Rd 64 at Polar Rd. An injured deer needing to be dispatched was reported on the shoulder of State Rd 47 at County Rd D at 9:07 AM, but a deputy was unable to locate it. At 9:14 AM, a motorist assist was requested for a red Dodge Ram that had broken down on US 45, with the deputy noting it needed to be moved as it was about a foot from the fog line. A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 11:21 AM on State Rd 47, involving neighbors yelling and screaming at each other on their property lines. A motorist with a broken-down black Jeep Cherokee on State Rd 55 at Sawyer Lake Rd called at 12:26 PM to report a tow was on the way. An intoxicated person was reported on Forrest Rd at 9:56 PM, with the caller stating the individual, who had a history of domestic abuse, was walking in the road and was now hiding in the woods behind the house.

August 15th

The day started with a traffic stop at 5:26 AM on Forrest Rd at Parkway Rd, resulting in a verbal warning for a defective headlight and a cracked windshield. A 911 hang-up call at 8:44 AM on Warg Ln was determined to be an accidental call. A traffic complaint was received at 9:38 AM about a red and white cement truck on the wrong side of the roadway on State Rd 64 at Sauls Spring Rd, but a deputy was unable to locate the vehicle. At 11:53 AM, an officer removed wood from the road on State Rd 52 at Nonnemacher Rd. A traffic stop at 2:52 PM on County Rd H at State Rd 64 resulted in a verbal warning for speed. A civil complaint was filed at 2:57 PM from Rusch Rd, where a resident reported paying for what they were told was clean roofing material, but later discovered other items mixed in. A motorist assist was provided at 3:20 PM for a vehicle on Gruenberg Rd at State Rd 64 that needed to be removed before dark. An intoxicated male with a large dog was reported at 5:17 PM on Lake St, who became confrontational when asked to leave. In the evening, a traffic stop at 8:20 PM on County Rd K at County Rd U led to a verbal warning for the driver to turn on their taillights and for no proof of insurance. Another traffic stop at 9:02 PM on State Rd 64 at Combs Rd resulted in further action.

August 16th

A motorist assist was provided at 12:10 AM for a white Mazda CX5 that was smoking on State Rd 64 at De Hart Rd. A civil complaint was filed at 8:16 AM. An animal-related accident was reported at 10:35 AM on County Rd S at Pit Rd, where a driver hit a deer, but the deer ran off. At 4:24 PM, an ATV accident with two people injured was reported on County Rd T at W Elcho Rd. A report was made at 4:53 PM of a deer still alive on the south side of W Bear Lake Rd, east of Old 26 Rd. At 5:52 PM, a report of a vehicle being vandalized the previous night was made from County Rd C at US 45. A traffic stop at 8:21 PM on State Rd 64 at Wallrich Rd resulted in a verbal warning for speed. A report of an animal bite came in at 8:23 PM from Blue Bell Rd, where a runner was bitten by a dog and the owner was hostile when confronted. A single-vehicle rollover accident involving a black Ford F250 was reported at 10:35 PM on Braun Ln at County Rd DD, with the truck found on its top about 50 yards off the road.

August 17th

A large tree was reported blocking the road on North Ave, east of Pioneer Rd, at 6:18 AM, and the Highway Department was notified. At 7:11 AM, a traffic stop on Neva Rd at Willard Ave resulted in verbal warnings for speed, no proof of insurance, and a defective boat trailer light. A 911 open line was received at 11:38 AM from a church on Church Rd, where a male party could be heard in the background. A traffic stop at 2:10 PM on US 45 at Knight Rd resulted in a citation for speed and verbal warnings for a seat belt violation and no insurance. A suspicious unoccupied grey Chevy Colorado was reported at 6:21 PM near the UTV trail on Sherry Rd with deployed airbags. An accident involving a Ram 1500 and a deer was reported at 9:54 PM on County Rd TT at County Rd A, resulting in non-reportable minor damage.

August 18th

An accident involving a vehicle and a deer occurred at 5:48 AM on State Rd 55 at Sylvan Acres Rd W, with the deer left in the roadway; the vehicle was towed from the scene. A report of a small Buick sedan in the ditch was received at 8:11 AM from Maple Rd at Mapleview Rd, but it appeared to be parked by a driveway. At 8:19 AM, a two-vehicle accident with minimal damage and no injuries was reported on County Rd F at County Rd S. A 911 open line at 9:00 AM from Superior St had a child talking in the background; officers checked the residence and all appeared to be fine. At 10:40 AM, a citizen called to speak with a deputy about underage drinking that had reportedly occurred over the weekend. A driver for a transport company reportedly hit a sign on County Rd Q at State Rd 17 at 11:32 AM, and the Highway Department was notified to inspect the damage. A citizen requested information about vehicle insurance requirements at 4:40 PM. A report of possible abuse or neglect was made at 4:42 PM by a citizen who came to the Safety Building. At 11:08 PM, a brown cow with a collar was reported lying in the westbound lane of County Rd C at Getts Rd, with a second black and white cow also getting out; the owner was contacted and secured the animals.

August 19th

A suspicious male was reported bent over on the side of County Rd P, south of State Rd 64, at 4:39 AM; deputies were unable to locate the individual. At 7:19 AM, a traffic stop on County Rd F at Eastview Dr resulted in a verbal warning for driving left of center. A deer carcass was reported in the westbound lane of County Rd J at Rangeline Rd at 7:21 AM. A suspicious small white Chevy Cruze with a male who appeared to be passed out at the wheel was reported at 10:24 AM on Star-Neva Rd. At 11:58 AM, a report of trespassing was made from Forrest Rd, where someone who used to lease the land was now cutting things down. A lockout was reported at 3:17 PM on US 45. A traffic stop occurred at 4:53 PM at 1107 S Superior St. A citizen called at 4:53 PM to report a white pickup truck with a white topper had been parked near the Ice Age Trail by Townline Lake since the morning, but the vehicle was gone upon the deputy's arrival. A 911 hang-up call at 4:54 PM on County Rd K was determined to be accidental. A traffic stop at 7:22 PM on County Rd J at US 45 resulted in a verbal warning for speed.
