Langlade Senior Club News

Our Langlade Senior Club met on 9/10/19 with 17 people in attendance.

President Rosemary Sarkauskas opened the meeting with one verse of God Bless America and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Our new member joined and we all welcomed Mary Keen. We had two visitors present, Sue Kramer and Carolyn Kowalski.

Our good welfare report was that Jim Whitt’s sister-in-law came to Antigo to celebrate her 101^st birthday. Most of the guests were in their 90’s. Trudy & Larry Hartman were in a parade in Merrill, and Rosemary Sarkauskas had a 55 year class reunion in Eagle River, WI.

Tessie Nycz gave the secretary minutes. They were approved with no additions or corrections. Next, Trudy Hartman read her treasurer’s report. All was well.

Our guest speaker was Kathy Schultz from the ADRC Center, reminding us to come to the open house on 9/13. She spoke to us on Medicare rights and brought us information on Energy Assistance applications.

Larry Hartman had a birthday. We all sang Happy Birthday to him.

The president asked if anyone was interested in large bingo cards. Only 3 out of 17 wanted them.

Our next meeting will be October 8^th at the library.
