ANTIGO – Carrissa L. Drake, 32, was sentenced last week to six years in the Wisconsin state prison system for second degree sexual assault of a child. The sentencing stems from a guilty verdict determined by a Langlade County jury in late February, effectively closing a case that has been ongoing for over a year.
Drake was convicted of having sexual relations with a 13-year old boy at an underage house party on the night of December 20, 2014, a party that lasted until early the next morning. After months of deliberation, the victim and witnesses came forward to the Antigo Police Department in March of 2015 with charges against Drake.
Facing two counts of sexual assault and a misdemeanor resisting an officer charge, Drake was found guilty of only one count of the former. The five-month, local jail sentence that accompanied Drake’s resisting an officer conviction was already deemed complete.Drake is also banned from having contact with anyone under the age of 18 (without permission) and will be added to the Sex Offender Registry Program.
