Loretta “La-La” Clark, of White Lake, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with her children and family by her side after a long battle with congestive heart failure. She was 67 years old.

She was born March 2, 1948 in Waukegan, IL, daughter of the late Russell Stanley and Laura Elvera (Archambeault) Johnson. She married Franklin Delano Clark on Nov. 22, 1970 in Waukegan, and he preceded her in death in 1996.

Mrs. Clark graduated from Waukegan High School, and was head of housekeeping at a nursing home in Zion, IL. She later was a homemaker, moving her family to White Lake from the North Chicago area.

She was a Christian who enjoyed reading the Bible. She also shared her knowledge through Bible study with others.

For much of her adult life, Mrs. Clark was disabled and had difficulty leaving her home. Her spirit and connection with others remained strong, and she will be remembered for helping many people during difficult times. She was known as a person that one could lean on for support. In recent years, she used facebook to keep connected with her friends and family. She also loved to read Amish books, and will be remembered for being funny, spunky, sassy, and always able to make people laugh.

Mrs. Clark’s children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Her family is grateful for her courage in moving the family to White Lake, a community with strong small town values, where they found much love and wonderful friends. She helped raise her grandchildren, and this created a special bond that tied all three generations together.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda “Amy” Clark-Hull of Antigo; a son Allan “Scott” (Merry) Clark of Kenosha; 6 grandchildren, Andrew Clark, Bennett Clark, Casey Clark, Sarah Hull, Jeremiah Hull, and Jonathan Hull; a sister, Dorothy “Dottie” Johnson of Arlington, TX; a niece, Lori Gochee; a nephew, Aaron Gochee; special friend and caretaker, Patricia DeHart; many other special friends including Sandra Post who made many visits, JoNita Schuman, Nick DeHart, Linda Parent, Virginia Peil (John Kinzie), Kimberly Peil, and the rest of the Peil family, along with all her White Lake friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will take place with her mother at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago on a later date.
