Margaret Grace Schilcher, age 87, of Antigo, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Langlade Hospital.
Margaret was born on February 17, 1928 to the late Julius and Sabina (Hartman) Boelter in Bryant, WI.
On June 8, 1946 she was united in marriage to Lyle Schilcher at Peace Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2006.
Together Margaret and Lyle owned and operated Lyle’s Shell in Antigo.
She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and was truly a “sports grandma”.
Margaret was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1945.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Cora (Jerome) King of Phlox and Karen (Rick Augustine) Ably of Two Rivers, 2 sons, Michael (Valerie) of Antigo and Allen (Sue) of Antigo, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, a sister Verna Bauer of Waukesha, 2 brothers, Eugene (Sharon) Boelter of Neenah and Oscar Boelter of Appleton, and her dear canine companion, Zip.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by 3 infant children, 2 sisters, Louise and Irene and 5 brothers, Harold, Charles, Alvin, Jim, and Arnold.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church. Reverend David Karolus will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 9:00 AM until the service. Interment will take place at Bent Cemetery in the spring.
Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
