The Annual Antigo Optimist Club Tree Burn will be held on Monday, Jan. 23 from 5 to 7 PM at the Antigo High School’s South Parking Lot, near Dentention Pond. The Optimist know how to celebrate the semi-official end of the holiday season in style, serving free hot chocolate and hot dogs as families and friends dispose of their Yuletide trees.
Dress warm as the event is held near the western flats of Antigo. The weather calls for overcast skies with a high of 37 and a low of 29 for Monday (as of Friday afternoon’s outlook). Last year’s Tree Burn was postponed until a week later because of the severe wind chills in the Langlade County area.
