Oren U. Molle, 94

Oren U. Molle, of the Villages, FL, and formerly of Antigo, passed away at his home on Monday, March 28, 2016. He was 94 years old.

He was born in Antigo, son of the late Otto and Helen Molle. He married Bette in 1948, and she preceded him in death in 2002.

Mr. Molle graduated from Antigo High School, then attended the Bradley School of Horology where he became a watchmaker. He served in the US Army for over 3 years, attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Armored Artillery. He purchased Molle Jewelry Store in 1947. While operating the jewelry store, he earned a degree as a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America. He moved to The Villages in 2001, where he enjoyed spending time with friends and golfing.

He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, and served as treasurer of the congregation.

He was president of the Antigo Junior Chamber of Commerce. He served on the board of the Chamber of Commerce and Bass Lake Country Club, where he was a member for over 50 years.

Oren and Bette had 2 children, a daughter, Kandace Oelkers of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and Rand (Diane) Molle of Antigo.
