Orville H. Henderson, 80, Birnamwood, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice.
He was born on March 27, 1936 in Birnamwood, the son of the late Norman and Marie (Schumacher) Henderson.
Orville was united in marriage to Arlene Opper on July 16, 1955 in Pine City, MN. She survives.
Orville was employed by 21st Century Genetics for 38 years and drove school bus for the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District for 52 years. He enjoyed gardening and decorating his house with Christmas lights. Orville enjoyed deer hunting and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Henderson; daughter, Lonna Barnowsky, Wausau; son-in-law, Randy (Sandy) Schmidt, Birnamwood; grandchildren, Jeremy (Trisha) Schmidt, Birnamwood, Ashley (Nick Freund) Barnowsky, Wausau and Matthew (Ashley Hanson) Barnowsky, Green Bay; great-granddaughter, Tori Schmidt; brother, Vilas (Janice) Henderson, Oakton, VA; sisters, Donna Szews, Birnamwood and Rosalie Carlton, Shawano and a brother-in-law, David Matsche, Birnamwood.
Orville was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Schmidt, parents, Norman and Marie Henderson; sister, Karen Matsche and brothers-in-law, Eugene Szews and Bill Carlton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5PM on Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. Fr. Anthony Ibekwe will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday from 2PM until the time of Mass at the church.
Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
