Orville W. Pingel, 79, Ringle, died on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on November 28, 1938 in Edgar, the son of the late William and Martha (Radun) Pingel.
On September 26, 1959, Orville was united in marriage to Yvonne Hohn at St. John Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. She survives.
The couple dairy farmed in the town of Easton for 51 years. Orville also had been employed by the former Wausau Furniture and Drott and J.I. Case. He enjoyed deer and bear hunting, fishing and playing baseball. Orville had an interest in the weather and enjoyed watching forecasts.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Pingel; three sons, Mark Pingel and Michael Pingel both of Ringle and Gary (Lori) Pingel of Hatley; two grandsons, Evan and Justin Pingel of Hatley; sisters, Lois Bula of Wausau, Marie (Myron) Podjaski of Ringle, Marianne (Dennis) Hegewald of Elderon, Loretta (John) Lucht of Antigo, Virginia (Larry) Wegener of Clintonville and Patsy Pingel of Birnamwood; brothers, Lloyd (Josephine) Pingel of Hatley, William Pingel Jr. of Birnamwood and Leonard (Toni) Pingel of Hatley; sister-in-law, Sue Hohn of Birnamwood and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Paula Jean in infancy; sisters, Esther Pingel and Joyce Krueger and siblings-in-laws, Francis Bula, Frederick Hohn and Carmen Pingel.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, E10723 County Rd Z, Wausau. Rev. John Stransky will officiate. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at the church.
