Packers Tailgate Tour Comes to Mosinee in Support of Patriot K9s of Wisconsin

Posted

Excitement is building in Mosinee as the Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour prepares to roll into town, on April 11th bringing with it not only beloved players and alumni, but also a powerful opportunity to support Wisconsin veterans. The event will take place at the Crystal Training Institute (CTI) Sports Complex, located at 880 S View Drive, Suite 15132. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the evening promises to be one to remember.

This isn’t just another fan event—it’s a fundraiser for Patriot K9s of Wisconsin (PK9s), a nonprofit organization making a tangible difference in the lives of veterans across the state. PK9s provides service dogs and specialized training to veterans coping with the lasting impacts of their service, including Post-traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma (MST). These services are provided completely free of charge to qualified veterans, ensuring accessibility without financial burden.

The value of this kind of support cannot be overstated. According to PK9s’ own program development manager—a veteran and volunteer—having a service dog has enabled them to reclaim their life, participate in family events, and manage symptoms like night terrors through grounding techniques. They described the experience as life-changing, highlighting the unconditional love and unique support a trained service dog provides. Notably, PK9s does not require veterans to engage in fundraising to receive a dog and even offers cortisol alert training, a feature not commonly found in other service dog programs.

The upcoming Tailgate Tour is more than a celebration of Wisconsin’s favorite football team—it’s a rallying point for community members to show their gratitude to those who’ve served. Attendees will have the chance to meet Packers players and alumni, including Josh Jacobs, Lukas Van Ness, Tucker Kraft, Ahman Green, Jermichael Finley, and John Michels. Adding to the excitement, Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy will host a Q&A session from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m., offering fans a unique look behind the scenes of the organization.
Classic tailgate activities will be in full swing, with the added bonus of free food and two drink tickets for each guest. A raffle drawing will take place between 8:00 and 9:30 p.m., giving attendees the chance to win while giving back. All proceeds from the event go directly to Patriot K9s of Wisconsin, ensuring that every ticket sold and every raffle entry purchased has a meaningful impact.

For the Mosinee area, this is more than an evening of football fun—it’s a demonstration of community spirit and commitment to the well-being of local veterans. The Packers Tailgate Tour brings together sports fans, neighbors, and supporters for a cause rooted in service and support.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to secure tickets in advance (look for the “Purchase a Ticket” links associated with the event) and spread the word to others who may wish to take part in this purposeful celebration. The Packers may be the stars of the show, but the true champions are the veterans whose lives are being transformed through the work of PK9s—and the community members who make that work possible.
