Patrick J Marciniak, 80

Patrick J Marciniak, of Antigo, died Friday, May 8, 2020, at home under the care of his wife and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 80 years old. He was born on July 20, 1939, in Antigo, a son of Albert and Helen (Antoniewicz) Marciniak. He married Rosemary Hubatch on May 4, 1963, at St. John Catholic Church. She survives.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1957.

He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard, was called to active duty during the Berlin Crisis and was stationed in Washington state for one year.

He was employed at Kraft Foods in Antigo for six years. Pat had a long career with Langlade Memorial Hospital first working in housekeeping for 15 years and was instrumental in the hospital building their independent laundry facility in Antigo. He managed the laundry facility for 20 years, retiring in 2002.

He helped his son Jeff farm for 18 years. For many years Pat reupholstered furniture - a trade that gave him great pleasure.

He served on the parish council and board of education at St. John Catholic Church.

He was a member of the Antigo Lions Club, the Msgr. Conrad Saile Knights of Columbus Council 1002 Antigo and worked on their kitchen crew for 15 years, and volunteered at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.

Pat enjoyed watching high school sports and having coffee at McDonalds. He most valued the time he could spend with his sons and grandchildren.

Survivors including his wife are three sons, Jeffrey Marciniak, Antigo, Craig (Jennifer) Marciniak, Freedom, Adam (Amber) Marciniak, Marshfield; four grandchildren Tehya (Tanner), Reese, Maura and Levi; special foster grandchildren Kariann, Richard;

three sisters, Mary (Ken) Rine, Deerbrook, Joan Pregler, Antigo, Cindy (Rick) Hurlbert, Post Lake; a brother, Albert (Eleanor) Marciniak, Milwaukee;

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary; two sisters, Josephine Rank, Rosie Jansen; four brothers, Richard, Larry, Francis "Frank", and Jack Marciniak,

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
