Paul John Bierman Jr., 84

Paul J. Bierman Jr., 84 of Birnamwood, died on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Cloverleaf Terrace under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.

He was born on September 16, 1935 in the town of Almon, Shawano County, the son of the late Paul Sr. and Lillian (Baker) Bierman.

Paul was a United States Army veteran serving from 1955 to 1957.

On December 25, 1960, Paul was united in marriage to Beverly Kerstner at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bowler. She survives.

Paul logged for many years and also ran Silver Creek Nursery and Greenhouse. He enjoyed playing old timers softball, fishing, hunting, playing cards and camping.

Paul is survived by his wife Beverly Bierman of Birnamwood; two sons, Perry (Alice) Bierman of Bowler and James (Trina) Bierman of Birnamwood; three grandchildren, Nicholas (Sarah) Bierman, Jenna (Ryan) and Rebecca Bierman; 7 great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard (Audrey) Bierman and two sisters, Ethel Matz and Linda (Ken) Wolf.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Art and LeRoy and a sister, Norma Hanke.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Shawano. Mr. Ken Giessel will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1PM until the time of service at the Hall.
