Richard J. Robinson, of Antigo, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 90 years old. He was born on May 25, 1926 in Valders, Wis. a son of the late Walter and Annie (Waldvogel) Robinson. He married Ruth Zelenka on June 17, 1950 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. She survives.
Mr. Robinson was employed by Kraft Foods at the Antigo plant from 1948 until his retirement in 1987. While at Kraft he was honored for having perfect attendance. He was also employed at the Queen of Peace Cemetery for 5 1/2 years.
He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, an associate member of the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph and was a trustee of National Mutual Benefit.
Mr. Robinson enjoyed many hobbies including bee keeping, gardening, ceramics and making rosaries. He loved time spent with his grandchildren and family.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Mary (Robert) Tarney of Milwaukee, Jane (Dennis) Rosenau of Antigo and Joanne Robinson of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren, Jeffery Robinson, Mark Robinson, Jr., David (Mandy) Marcellis and Sarah (Nick) Shaw; a great-grandson, Peyton Shaw; and a sister, Charlotte Summ of Hartford.
He was preceded in death by two sons, David and Mark Sr.; two sisters, Dorothy (Virgil) Pluger and Eileen (Gilbert) DeBroux; two brothers, Joseph (Carol) and Jerome; and a brother-in-law, Norbert Summ.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Reverend Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at Friday at 4:40 p.m. at the funeral home.
