Robert "Bob" Marion Jones, age 93, of Antigo, died on June 19, 2026 at Rosalia Gardens. He was born on May 21, 1933 in Bryant, a son of the late Marion and Leona (Ferguson) Jones. He married Shirley Hartgenbush on December 23, 1953 in Chicago. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2019.
Bob was a graduate of Antigo High School Class of 1953. He served 4 years in the United States Army as a surveyor, stationed in Germany and Colorado Springs. Bob owned and operated Bob's TV in Antigo for 28 years. Afterwards he became a Rural Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service.
He was a member of Monsigner Conrad Saille Council 1002 Knights of Columbus, Sparks Doernenburg American Legion Post 3, The Benevolent and Protective Order Of Elks Lodge 662, Toastmasters, Antigo Chamber of Commerce, Whittle People, and in his younger years the Jaycees.
Bob was a dedicated volunteer, and spent many hours giving back to his community. Some of his efforts include, volunteering with the Langlade Healthcare Center and Special Olympics with the developmentally disabled adults during bowling sessions, assisting at Crestwood School, and volunteering at Eastview Nursing home. Bob was also a devoted member of SS Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church, as a Head Usher and member of their St. Hyacinth School Board. He enjoyed chainsaw and wood carving, bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting, camping, playing on the Boettchers Softball Team, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Austin of Spring Green; a son, Paul (Kori) Jones of Antigo; three grandchildren, Josh and Cooper Jones of Antigo, and Kaitlyn (Kyle Obremski) Austin of Madison.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Jones; a brother, David Jones; and two grandchildren in infancy, Dakota and Jackie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 3 at SS Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. with the Very Reverend Joel Sember officiating.
Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
The Knights of Columbus will recite the Rosary on Thursday July 2 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home with a Parish Wake Service at 6 p.m. officiated by Deacon Pete Schlegel.
Visitation will also be held on Friday, July 3 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
