Robert "Bob" Ostrander Jr., of Antigo, died Sunday, April 14, 2019, at his home at the age of 56. He was born on August 11, 1962, in Elkhorn, a son of the late Robert Ostrander Sr. and Carole (Kuehn) Nigh-Mabry. He married Debbie (Brennecke) Hansen on October 20, 2007.
Bob graduated from Wisconsin Rapids High School.
He was currently employed at Walmart in Antigo. He previously worked at Seidl Farms and Insight FS in Antigo.
Family was the most important thing in Bob's life, he was a proud father and grandfather and his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing horseshoes.
Survivors include his wife Debbie; two sons, Cody (Chelsey) Ostrander and Andy (Carrie) Smart all of Antigo; three step-children, Chris (Jodie) Hansen of Rhinelander, Erin (Mark) Maus of Mattoon and Joshua Hansen of Antigo; 16 grandchildren; five sisters, DeAnna (Dean) Sorano of Antigo, Ann (Richard) Godfrey of Orange, TX, Tami (John) Peckman of Wisconsin Rapids, Koreena (Kieth) Krajewski of Wisconsin Rapids and Betty (Scott) Zaleski of Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers, Richard (Tracy) Ostrander of Wisconsin Rapids and Sean (Brandy) Ostrander of Rockford, IL; father-in-law, Robert Brennecke of Mattoon; and friends, Mark Hoeft, Larry Prince and Scott Markgraf.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, ReNae Ostrander and mother-in-law, Lorena Brennecke.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Monday, April 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
