Rosalie A. Voelz, 90, Wittenberg, died on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born on June 5, 1926 in Bowler, the daughter of the late Ray and Leona (Walters) Malueg.
On June 22, 1946, Rosalie was united in marriage to Milton Voelz in Bowler. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1994.
Rosalie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wittenberg and its Ladies Aid. She enjoyed her bridge club and Gin Rummy club. Rosalie had a deep passion for her family. She loved gardening and bird watching. Music was a very important part of Rosalie's life and she enjoyed playing keyboard and organ.
Survivors include four sons, Allen (Valarie) Voelz, St. Paul, MN, Malcolm (Judy) Voelz, Navarre Beach, FL, Steven (Jane) Voelz, Custer and Dennis (Karen) Voelz, Wittenberg; five grandchildren, Cheryl (Dave) Qualey, Sara (Corey Mathers) Voelz, Zachary (Kristin Henning) Voelz, Miranda Voelz and Michael (Lorie Muench) Voelz; 10 great-grandchildren, Kendall, McKenna, Ahna, Taryn, Mikey, Nikolas, Lukas, Drew, Amelie and Julian and sister, Jeanne Childs, Shawano.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rosalie was preceded in death by one brother, Lloyd and siblings-in-law, Don Childs, Viola Vergutz and Ruben and Linda Voelz.
Private family services will be held. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.
