Rosita A. Matucheski, 79

Rosita A. Matucheski, of Antigo, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 79 years old. She was born on June 30, 1936 in Shiocton, a daughter of Leonard and Lucille (Bey) Young. She married Raymond Matucheski on July 20, 1957 at St Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. He survives.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1955 and attended Langlade County Normal School in Antigo for two years.

Rosita taught in several one room grade schools in Langlade and Marathon County.

She raised her family in Antigo and worked at Langlade Hospital as a dietary aide from 1966 to 2001.

Spending time with her family was most important to her. She made every effort to attend her grandchildren's extra curricular activities especially Antigo High School band competitions and theatre performances.

She was known as a woman who kept the promises she made. Her hobbies included listening to country music, quilting and following the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors including her husband are a daughter, Mary (Jim) Nelson, Antigo; three sons, Michael Matucheski, Jim (Gail) Matucheski, Ray (Kaye) Matucheski all of Antigo; a sister, Debra (Donald) Court, Cherry Valley, Illinois; eight grandchildren Sam and Matt Matucheski; Joshua Westveer, Corbin Nelson, Jennifer (Matthew) Frohliger, Scott (Julie) Matucheski, Kaylee Matucheski and fiancee Andrew Olund, and Kyle Matucheski; five great-grandchildren Joshua Westveer Jr., Nolan, Zeke, Elena and Delsin Frohliger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her twin sister Rosina Young, and a brother Robert (Marie) Young.

The funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 - 10 a.m. on Monday also at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
