Ross Clay, age 55, of Antigo, died July 13, 2017 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ross was born on August 16, 1961 in Wausau to Mary Jean (Spear) Clay and the late Richard Clay. Ross was a lifelong resident of Antigo. He attended Antigo High School and then later worked at Antigo Auto Parts as an auto parts specialist for over 27 years. Ross enjoyed fishing, shooting darts, classic cars, NASCAR, Packers, puzzles, an occasional casino trip, and was a big fan of Elvis.

Ross is survived by his mother Mary Jean Clay of Antigo, his son Robert Clay of Aniwa, his daughter Amanda Clay of Bevent, WI, his sister Kim (John) Deisinger of Antigo, his brothers Richard Clay (Bette) of Antigo, Randy Clay (Deb) of Antigo, Rex Clay (Karen) of Arcadia, WI, Rodney Clay (Sheila) of Antigo, Robin Clay (Becky) of Bryant, Kevin Clay of Antigo, and Robert Clay (Caroline) of Aikin, SC, his 4 grandchildren Sophia, Samantha, Robert, and Nolan, and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his father, Ross was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Leonard and Edith Clay and his maternal grandparents Sam and Mary Spear.

A funeral service for Ross will take place on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service at Lily Cemetery.
