S.C. Swiderski (SCS), the Village of Wittenberg, and the Wittenberg Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the Groundbreaking Ceremony for SCS Wittenberg on July 22nd at 11:00 a.m. The ceremonial digging at 403 Freedom Way showcased the location for this brand-new apartment community.
Clay House Pizza Kiln provided lunch, and raffle basket drawings were sponsored by partners on the project as part of this appreciation event. SCS thanked all its partners, contractors, and vendors who made this community possible, including NorthShore Bank, REI Engineering, Potrykus Construction, County Land & Title, and many others.
SCS Wittenberg was designed to bring modern comforts and convenience to apartment living. The property featured 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments, all with private entrances, in-unit laundry, a private patio or balcony, and an attached or detached garage. All rent rates included heat, cable, Wi-Fi, water and sewer, as well as trash and recycling. SCS Wittenberg was a professionally maintained property with friendly on-site management, maintenance, and groundskeeping staff. The apartments were pet friendly for cats and dogs and featured green space throughout the property.
SCS was excited to be a part of the Wittenberg community. SCS recognized the housing need in the area, believed in the power of supporting local businesses, and was committed to being an active member and partner of the Wittenberg community. SCS had several other multi-family projects in construction and looked forward to additional grand openings and groundbreakings that summer.
