Thomas E. Burkhart, age 48, of Bryant died at his home unexpectedly on Monday, February 11, 2019.

Tom was born in Milwaukee on January 6, 1971 to Joyce (Gaudette) Burkhart and the late Edwin G. Burkhart.

Tom worked for the family business, G & B Masonry, along with his father and brother, Scott. The business evolved to being G & B Concrete, owned and operated by Scott and Tom together.

Tom’s greatest pleasure was that of being a husband and dad. He was a devoted father and loved to be a part of his girl’s involvement in sports, from watching them play, to coaching them and serving as president of the Antigo Fillies Softball Association. He was a true sports enthusiast, listening exclusively to Sports Radio when in his truck. He was a fan of all Wisconsin sports teams. He enjoyed skiing, golfing and hunting.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Kristen of Bryant, include his daughters; Elizabeth and Laura Burkhart at home; his mother Joyce of Summit Lake; brothers; Jeffrey (Betsy) of Germantown and Scott (Melissa) of Deerbrook; nieces and nephews; Alex, Katey, Nick, Morgan, and Jackson; his mother-in-law Jennifer Bailey of Antigo and a sister-in-law; Alicia Bailey of Antigo.

Tom was preceded in death by his father Edwin and father-in-law Timothy Bailey.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00PM until 7:15 PM at St. John Catholic Church in Hoffmann Hall. A memorial service will follow at 7:30 PM at the church. Father Charles Hoffmann will officiate.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Tom’s name.
