Thomas Guenther, of Antigo, died Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison. He was 63 years old. He was born on January 30, 1956, in Antigo, a son of the late George Guenther and Jeanine (Zaitz) Guenther Marquette of Antigo.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1974.
He operated Neva Autobody before beginning a career with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. After retirement from the railroad he attended North Central Technical College working toward an accounting degree. For many years he was a caregiver for his mother.
He was member of SS Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church.
Survivors including his mother are three sisters, Mary Guenther, Sierra Vista, Arizona, Patricia Rougeot, Wausau, Lori Krueger, Tomahawk; four brothers, George Guenther, Michigan, Daniel (Vickie) Guenther, Michigan, Robert (Cheryl) Guenther, Antigo, David Guenther, Antigo; a step sister, Mary Samz, Argonne; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Bernard.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery in Argonne.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday also at the funeral home.
