Thomas Vorass, 80

Thomas “Tom” Vorass, age 80, died at Care Partners under the care of LeRoyer Hospice on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

Thomas was born on June 20, 1939 to the late Carl and Beatrice (Barta) Vorass in Antigo Wisconsin.

He was united in marriage to Kaye Nonnemacher on October 8, 1960 at St. John Catholic Church. Tom was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1957 and a lifelong resident of Antigo.

Tom retired in 1990 after serving as a firefighter and EMT for the city of Antigo. Tom also worked for the Antigo Daily Journal.

Tom enjoyed traveling with his wife, their trips to Las Vegas, and local casinos. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a talented wood worker. Above all, he loved his family.

Survivors include a daughter, Kim (Jerry) Kohl of Appleton; a son, Brian (Jane) Vorass of Antigo; six grandchildren, Adam Cain, Nicole (CJ) Campuzano, Ashley Vorass, Robert Burns III, Dakota Vorass, and Hanna Kohl; six great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kyler, Ezra, and Gianna Campuzano, and Audynn and Remington Spencer, as well as brother Tim Vorass of Eau Claire, WI.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife Kaye, parents, and 2 sisters; Marilyn Noskowiak and Suzanne Vorass.

In accordance with Tom’s wishes, no services will be held.

Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
