William M. "Willie" Chroge, Jr., 53

William M. "Willie" Chroge, Jr., of Antigo, died suddenly Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 53 years old. He was born on May 5, 1963 in Tigerton, a son of the late William and Mildred (Bierman) Chroge. He married Tina (Wilson) Wild on September 18, 2010 at the Polar Ballpark.

Willie served in the National Guard. He was employed at Kersten Trucking in Birnamwood for over 30 years. Willie and Tina owned TWC Construction in Antigo for the past three years.

He was a member of the Mattoon Volunteer Fire Department.

He also volunteered for many years at the Antigo stock car races, also having served on the board. He loved racing and was restoring a 1978 Trans Am.

Willie will be remembered for his passion to help people. He would do anything for anybody.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Tina; six daughters, Heather Chroge, Tracie Chroge, Conner Chroge, Mandy (Jessica) Chroge, Cali Chroge and Morgan (Joe Lex) Wild all of Antigo; six grandchildren, Taytum Cross, Gabrielle Chroge, Renee, Laine and Claire Minniecheske and Gage Lex; four sisters, Doreen (John) Beilke of Stevens Point, Diane (Edmund) Writz of Birnamwood, Doris (Howard) Crick of Wittenberg and Denise (Dan) Onesti of Wittenberg; a sister-in-law, Tammy (Joe) Cossette of Mosinee and a brother-in-law, Terry (Rhonda) Wilson of New Berlin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Bierman.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church with Reverend Karen Tews officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church.
