Connie Jean Marciniak, 83

Connie Jean (King) Marciniak, of Antigo, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018, leaving her legacy of love and memories. She was Under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.
Connie came into the world on November 16, 1934. Born to Hollis and Elizabeth (Stewart) King, she was called princess by her father. She grew up in Antigo with five siblings, in a family blessed with musical talent, humor and a knack for comfort food cooking. At age 15, she caught the eye of local boy, Frank Marciniak, and he decided she was the girl for him. On May 16, 1953 they were wed and spent the next 56 years as adventurers and constant companions.
They began married life in Milwaukee, where she worked for the telephone company. In 1962 they returned to Antigo and began farming Frank’s parents homestead. They brought six children into this world, who learned what hard work and a loving family were all about.
They enjoyed many camping trips across the country with friends from their Citizens Band Radio Club.
While raising her family, Connie found time to be active in the town of Rolling Homemakers Club, SS. Mary and Hyacinth Rosary Society and choir and acting in several musicals at the Volm Theatre. She worked for the Census Bureau and drove school bus for several years.
For 26 years she shared her compassion and generous heart with many people, as a certified nursing assistant at the Langlade County Memorial Hospital. She proudly served the needs of patients from infants to seniors, often with humor, always with a smile.
Connie leaves six grateful and loved children: Kathy (Larry) Hetzel, Rubicon, Jim (Joan) Marciniak, Antigo, Jean (Tim) Bolen, Polar, Steve Marciniak, Antigo, Thomas (Annette) Marciniak, Antigo, Monica Dorrington, Antigo; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Sue (Larry) Vande Zande, Milwaukee, brother Joel (Jenny) King, Neenah; sisters-in-law Josephine Rank, Rose Jansen, Joan Pregler, Mary (Ken) Rine, Cindy (Rick) Hurlbert; brothers-in-law Al (Eleanor) Marciniak, Pat (Rosie) Marciniak; many nieces, nephews and numerous cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 2010; sisters Nancy (Walt) Schultz, Sandra (Howard) Presley; a brother Larry King; also several beloved in-laws.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Zach Weber officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
A parish wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
