Sandy Fischer, of Antigo, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at her home. She was 75 years old. She was born on February 11, 1943, in Antigo, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bernice (Nowakowski) Wanca. She married Larry Fischer on June 25, 1960, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2014.

Sandy worked at Superior Nursing in Antigo for 18 years as a nurses aide. She was the manager of Eight Reasons, a group home in Antigo, from 1987 until her retirement.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and caring for others.

Survivors include a daughter, Rita (Dan) Benes of Bryant; three sons, Richard Fischer, Terry (Laura) Fischer and Keith (Wendy) Fischer all of Antigo; six grandchildren, Leon, Crystal, Alanda, Timothy, Kyle and Danica; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 12 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Sebastian officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at a later date in the town of Polar Cemetery.
