Les Clark, 64

Les Clark, of White Lake, moved to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. He was 64 years old. He was born on June 1, 1954, in Antigo, a son of Mary Elizabeth (Kinder) Clark of White Lake and the late Edgar Duane Clark.

He graduated from Neenah High School with the class 1972. He continued his education at Olivet Nazarene College and Norfolk School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia. where he studied music.

Les served in the United States Marine Corps from February 3, 1982, to February 2, 1985. He then served in the Marine Corps Reserves until February 2, 1988. He later served in the United States Air National Guard for 2003 to 2009 having served in Operation Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom.

Les worked in logistics and supply on numerous military bases throughout the world for 26 years.

He was a member of Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake.

Les was an avid fisherman, who never passed a stream without dipping a line. He had a love for music, having played trumpet in the Marine Band and traveled with the Spurrlows gospel band. Les ran several marathons, including the Mt. Hood to Coast Relay.

Though Les lived many places, White Lake was always his home.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Elizabeth; a sister, Lynda Buckner of White Lake; niece, Elizabeth Kay (Lori) Suko of Salem, OR; a great-niece, Mary Elizabeth Merryman of Salem, OR; two great-nephews, James Timothy Merryman and Aaron Moses Merryman both of Dallas, OR; and a great, great-nephew, Walter Stehlin of Salem, OR. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Four Corners Assembly of God, White Lake with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Following the service, the White Lake American Legion will provide military honors.
