Joseph Frank Spinler Sr., 89

Joseph Frank Spinler, Sr. passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 89 years old.
Joe was born September 25, 1929 in the Town of Evergreen, son of the late Frank and Lara (Eldridge) Spinler. He married Eleanor Curtis on March 12, 1949 in Rome, NY, and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2013.
Joe attended Antigo High School. Joe served in the US Army Air Corps from January 17, 1947 to December 27, 1949. He was employed as a truck and bus driver.
Survivors include 6 daughters, Judy (David) Terlecki of Salem, Linda (William) Solomon of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Brenda (Kevin) Mooney of Paddock Lake, Mary (Kenneth) Jorgensen of Weston, Sherry (Chad) Williams of Schofield, and Debi Osgood of Germantown; 6 sons, Joseph Jr.(Patricia) Spinler of Marshfield, Gary (Barbara) Spinler of Belen, NM, Erwin (Cheri) Spinler of Paddock Lake, Bryon (Susan) Spinler of Salem, Richard (Maggie) Spinler of White Lake, and Danny Story of Florida; a sister, Jane Eggleston of Antigo; 45 grandchildren; and 55 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Fravel; 3 brothers, Richard, John Dishman “JD”, and Paul Spinler; a son-in-law, Jim Caldwell; and a grandson, Scott Spinler.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Pastor Brad Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 at the funeral home. Military honors will also take place at the funeral home following the service. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
