Michael Rose, 63
Michael Rose, of White Lake, died suddenly Thursday, March 21, 2019, at his home. He was 63 years old. He was born on November 20, 1955, in Polar, a son of Rufus and Evelyn (Kaiser) Rose. He married Betty Taylor on September 17, 2002, in St. Cloud, Florida. She survives.
He graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1973.
Following high school he served in the United States Marine Corps from November 26, 1973 until discharged July 22, 1975.
He used the G.I. Bill to attend the University of Wisconsin Green Bay where he earned a bachelors degree in education. He went on to teach history in high schools for a number years. Currently Mike was a disabled American veteran.
He loved life, enjoying fishing, hunting, and traveling. Spending time with his family was of great value to him.
Survivors including his wife are three sons, Robert (Katie) Rose, Madison, Michael (Dawn) Rose, Jr., Panama City, Florida, Kurt (Heather) Rose, Panama City, Florida; a daughter, Kori Auner, Wausau; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara (Eugene) Summ, Madison, Peggy (Kenneth) Shadick, Shawano, Connie (Michael) Brummer, Antigo, Debbie (Robert) Laehn, Antigo; two brothers, James (Jane) Rose, White Lake, Jack (Jennifer Jones) Rose, Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Rose.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home. The White Lake Veterans will conduct military honors following services.
Visitation will be 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
