Bonnie Ruth (Swim) Holthus was born to Malcolm and Emilee Swim in Langlade on June 6, 1942 and went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 17th, 2018.

Bonnie grew up in White Lake on the Heistad Family Farm after her father died in WWII and Emilee then married Philip Heistad, whom she called Dad. She was the eldest of 9 children.

Bonnie loved her family and friends most of all. She thought raspberries and Lilacs were heaven sent. She liked a BLT with Avocado and extra crispy bacon. She had both a mischievous side and a get ‘er done persona.  She loved to play Phase 10 with her husband and friends, she loved to read and her nails were always polished, always.

Bonnie moved to California and was married to Jim in April of 1971. There they raised her three children, Micki, Mark and Michelle, from her prior marriage along with their own son, Jeff as well as Jimmy; Jim’s son from his former marriage. Bonnie worked a full career at National Cash Register, retiring from there after over 20 years as the Quality Assurance Manager. With all of the children grown she made her way back to Wisconsin starting a new career managing several Self Storage facilities with Jim as the Maintenance person. She and Jim finally retired in 2013 and moved to the warmer, drier climate of Arizona. She spent her final years there with Jim, her best friend and life partner, visiting her snowbird siblings, spending time with local family and having friends visit her. God blessed her beyond measure and she was reminded over and over again in those final months. It brought her peace as she went home to Heaven on November 17, 2018.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Jim Holthus, daughter Micki Beutler (Steve), son Mark Griffin, daughter Michelle Doyle (Dale) and son James Holthus. Grandchildren: Kylie Zitani (Nick), Ashton Nobles (Jeremy), Gabriel Williams (Natasha), Lindsey Clark (Taylor), Sean Doyle (Chelsea) and Phillip Griffin.

Great Grandchildren: Aiden, Charlotte, Acelynn, Rhiley, Adelynn, Georgiana, Coraline, and Maddy.

Also her siblings: sister Nancy Ramer (Tony), brother Myron Heistad (Diane), sister Esther Hoffman (Jeff), brother Joe Heistad (Joni), sister Mary Urban (Doug), sister Becky Stanton (Jim) and brother Tim Heistad (Doreen).

Not to mention the numerous Aunts and Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews that brought joy to her life.

Bonnie is proceeded in death by her Parents Malcom Swim, Emilee and Philip Heistad, her brother Cleston Swim, her Sister Peggy Swim, her son Jeff Holthus and her nephew Mark Ramer.
