Carole Frances Lewis, age 82, of Antigo, died June 19, 2019 at The Bay at Eastview.
Carole was born July 19, 1936 in Crandon to the late William E. Robinson and Ida Francs (Spencer) Wells.
On March 19, 1954, she was united in marriage to Noah Lewis. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2019.
Carole worked for various potato farms in Langlade County. She and Noah later moved to Illinois, where was employed by Deerfield Bowler’s Association and Jewel.
Upon retirement Carole and Noah returned to the Antigo area.
Carole enjoyed playing video games, her beloved cats, bowling, shooting pool and roller skating. She was a woman of faith and had tremendous spiritual, mental and emotional strength. She returned to school in her 60’s to obtain her GED.
She is survived by a daughter; Rhonda (Danny) Yazell, a son; Larry Lewis; 5 grandchildren; David Cox, Theresa Zarate, Larry (Angela) Lewis, Danny Yazell, and Ryan Lewis, 5 great grandchildren; Sage, Kirah, Noah, Olivya, and Jennifer; 4 great-great grandchildren, Adriana, Mia, Anthony, and Mason.
In addition to her husband and parents, Carole was preceded in death by her step father; Charles Wells, a brother; Edgar (Viola) Robinson, sisters; Wilma (Early) McGhee, Verna (Joe) Yeskis, Pauline (Virgil) Quade, Kathleen (Ray) O’Keefe, Bonnie (Lloyd) Keye, and Muriel (Hank) Spencer.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the service. Interment will be in Bent Cemetery in Bryant. Reverend Danny Pyeatt will officiate.
