Joan D. Bogdala, of White Lake passed away peacefully on August 14, 2019 surrounded by her family and the supportive care of Aurora BayCare Medical Center staff. She was 74 years old.

She was born on August 7, 1945 in Antigo, the oldest of four children born to Catherine and the late James Hendricks. She married Timothy Bogdala on February 25, 1961 in Winthrop Harbor,
IL. He survives.

Joan loved her home in the northwoods, going to the casino, spending time with family and her poodle, Buddy. She also enjoyed hummingbirds, butterflies and flowers.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Timothy; mother, Catherine; 2 sisters, Geri (James) Veinotte and Debbie Hendricks-Gerretsen; 3 children, Cheryl (Roy) Ford, Pam (Jose) Robles
and Tim (Heidi) Bogdala; 3 grandchildren, Mike (Heather) Korstanje, Amanda Smelker (Robles) and Timothy Bogdala; 2 great-grandchildren, Landon and Madison Korstanje; sister-in-law, Bernie; many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; 2 brothers, James and baby Hendricks; mother-in-law, Adeline; father-in-law, John; brother-in-law, John (Porky); sister-in-law, Kathy; special nephew Jimmy Veinotte; several nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

As per Joan’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Langlade County Humane Society.
