Mary Ann Doering, 79

Mary Ann Doering, of Summit Lake, died Sunday, August 4, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family, under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 79 years old.
She was born December 27, 1939, in Antigo, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Mervyn) McClean. She married Gene Doering on August 1, 1959, in Deerbrook, and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Mrs. Doering graduated from Antigo High School in 1957. She was a homemaker, and farmed with her family in Ypsilanti, MI for 26 years before retiring to Summit Lake. She loved her horses, and enjoyed the farming life.
She was an artist working with sculpture, painting, sketching, and rockwork. She also was an animal lover with an appreciation for nature and the peacefulness of the outdoors.
Survivors include two sons, Geoffrey (Ammie) Doering of Summit Lake, and Gary Doering of Summit Lake; 5 grandchildren, Kristen, Erik, Shaun, Shannon, and Anthony; 8 great-grandchildren; and her sister and best friend, Sandy (William) Scott of Summit Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Brittany; and 2 sisters, Joan Kwick, and Carol Schultz.
A family celebration of life will take place on a later date.
