Rosemary Brochin, 77
Rosemary Brochin, age 77, went to the be with the Lord Monday, April 6, 2020 while at the home of her daughter and under the care of her family.
Rosemary was born on November 22, 1942 to the late Erwin and Alma (Brennecke) Forbes.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School.
Rosemary was united in marriage to Donald C. Brochin on November 21, 1965 in Illinois. Donald preceded her in death on September 14, 2010.
Rosemary was a homemaker. She was member of Faith Center. She was passionate about the well-being of others. Identifying the need for providing food to those in need in Langlade County, Rosemary began Operation Compassion. She served as the director of the food pantry and worked tirelessly to grow their services. Her faith was unyielding, and she shared it through the jail ministry she led, teaching Sunday School, being a member of Womens’ Ministry of Faith Center and Prayer Ministry. Her family and her faith were of greatest importance to her.
Survivors include 3 daughters; Vicky (Christopher) Chambers of Baraboo, Launa (Wesley Wnetkoswki) Miller of Lyndon Station, Sheila (Vincent) Davis of Antigo, a son; Mark (Nicole) Howard of Stevens Point, 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, step children; Elisa Boger, Rick (Penny) Brochin and William (Theresa) Brochin all of Indiana, 2 sisters; Laura (Jessi) Mathews and Suzette Jeffrey, sisters-in-law; Ruth Forbes and Betty Forbes.
In addition to her husband and parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by a son Donald “Donny” Brochin, grandsons; David Hipke and Dillon Messer, a great grandson; Devin Davis, 2 sisters; Edna Stougbauer and Alma Houck, 5 brothers; Butch, Jim, Glen, Vernon, Delbert Forbes a brother-in-law, Tom Jeffery, and step son-in-law Dave Boger.
Due to the current coronavirus restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Friends and extended family that wish to offer support and honor Rosemary are invited to drive past Strasser-Roller Funeral Home at 504 Edison St., coming from the north between 10:40 AM and 11:00 AM. The family will be present. Pastor Danny Pyeatt will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
In memory of Rosemary, there will be a container for collecting canned goods and non- perishable food items for the local food pantry Saturday from 11:00 until noon at the corner of Edison St. and 6th Ave.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date when COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
