The Antigo Times/Shopper tries, the best we can, to give you up to date event information, but with the COVID-19 pandemic things change rapidly, so some of these events may have been rescheduled or cancelled. Please check with the event coordinators before planning to attend.
*Community Events*
Antigo Area Community Food Pantry December 9th 11am-1pm (Wed.) & December 11th 1pm-3pm (Fri.), 2120 Progress Blvd., Antigo (715) 623-1103. We ask that all individuals wishing to use the Food Pantry wait in cars, or outside and a volunteer will provide direction as to service. Our monthly donation focus for December will be canned fruit (in juice).
Elcho Area Community Food Pantry December 7th & December 14th 2:30-4:30pm (Mon.), December 9th 4-6pm (Wed.), 11224 Antigo St., Elcho. You will receive prepacked bags of basic food items. Tell the volunteer how many in your family and if you have a specific need for something. Thank you for your cooperation. Note that the pantry is not open on holidays, or on days when the schools are closed because of snow. (715) 275-5010.
Car Seat Fitting Station-By Appointment Only December 9th 4-6pm Antigo Fire Department, 700 Edison St., Antigo. The second Wednesday of every month come for a FREE car seat safety inspection by certified child passenger safety technicians and get hands-on training to keep your child passengers safe! Christmas Lights, Santa & Pizza December 10th 4:30-8pm Rondele Ranch, 8959 Cty. Rd. K, Harshaw. Enjoy a drive-through small light show and see Santa when you pick up your pizza with a bottle of wine for $20 at Rondele Ranch in Harshaw. $5 from each pizza sale goes directly to the Rhinelander Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. Order your pizza on the Wednesday BEFORE each event. There will be no day of orders accepted. Call 844-947-2624.
Blood Drive-Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital December 11th 11:30am-3:30pm Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, 401 W. Mohawk Drive, Tomahawk. The blood drive will be held in the Spruce Room at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital. To schedule your life-saving appointment, please call 800-280-4102. In order to space apart our donors, we kindly request you schedule by appointment. This blood drive is held in partnership with The Community Blood Center.

Hometown Christmas December 11th 4-7pm Tomahawk. The theme this year is Christmas Carols. Currently all events are being planned and scheduled as stated: 4pm Parade Line Up on West End of Main Street (Wisconsin Avenue) near Fusion to Tomahawk Builders; 4:30pm Parade Starts ending at Tomahawk Community Bank and St. Paul’s Church corner; 5pm Live mannequins in the downtown business windows, carolers, characters; 7pm End of the event with declaration of the “Fairest in the Land” window winner.
Men’s Club Special Fried Chicken/Baked Fish Dinner December 11th 4-7pm Jack Lamar Pavilion, N11283 Dorr St., Elcho. The monthly Men’s Club special Fried Chicken/Baked Fish Dinner is served at 5pm, at the Jack Lamar Memorial/Elcho Community Pavilion, rain or shine. Doors opens at 4pm. 2-piece meal is $11 per plate, 4-piece meal is $13. Limited seating is available. Carry-out encouraged. Contact Mark Klopfer at 262-720-4856 for more information.
4th Annual Lights of the Northwoods Event December 11th-20th (Fri., Sat. & Sun.) 5-9pm Hodag Park, Rhinelander. This is a free holiday light festival where food & monetary donations will be collected on site. A portion of the proceeds will stay with Lights of the Northwoods for maintenance & expansion of the displays. The remaining portions of any cash donations will be given to the participating non-profit groups for the evening or to help improve the park for all-year use. Breakfast from Santa Pick-up December 12th 8-10am Antigo Elks Lodge, 622 Clermont St., Antigo. Santa is unable to come this year so we will be doing a drive through pickup. Each registered child will receive a gift from Santa and all registered adults and children will receive breakfast! Head to bgclang.org to register for Breakfast with Santa. Christmas Craft & Vendor Show December 12th 9am-3pm Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes, 1208 N. Center Ave., Merrill. Get your Christmas shopping done in one place. Les and Jim’s Lincoln Lanes will be holding their annual Christmas Craft and Vendor Sale. You will be able to cross everyone off your list here.

Antigo Optimist Club Meeting December 9th 12-1pm Game On, 623 Edison St., Antigo. Game On has implemented preventative measures for the safety of our members & community by promoting social distancing through table & chair arrangements & has implemented heightened building cleanliness. Virtual meetings will be done via webex meetings & you will be sent a link by email each Tuesday, prior to meeting. If you are interested in becoming an Antigo Optimist Club member or participate in a virtual meeting please send message through Facebook messenger.

Kids Clubs December 9th 6:30pm – 7:30pm Antigo Community Church, 723 Deleglise St., Antigo. One Way is for students in grades K-2 & CrossTrainers is for grades 3-6! All are welcome to join in the fun games, songs, Bible stories & small group time. We can’t wait to learn more about Jesus with everyone this year each Wednesday from 6:30-7:30pm in the Quest Center! REALIFE Student Ministry December 9th 7:30-8:30pm Antigo Community Church Quest Center, 723 Deleglise St., Antigo. REALIFE is designed to be a safe place where junior & senior High students (grades 7-12) can invite friends to come and be a part of a night filled with encouragement, fun, and fellowship. At REALIFE we will introduce students to the gospel and teach life application. We will play games, do ice-breakers, worship, teach, and interact in small group conversation. The Hope Life Center Mobile Unit will be parked in the Antigo Country Store parking lot, 715 Superior St., Antigo every Monday from 10:00am until 4:00pm. All services are FREE & CONFIDENTIAL.
