Officer Treleven and K-9 Riggs from the Antigo Police Department stopped by to say thank you for the donation. We truly appreciate them saying hi, answering all of our questions, and even giving a demonstration where Riggs located a hidden stash of pseudo-drugs!
K-9 Riggs provides invaluable support to the Antigo Police Department. He is trained in narcotics detection, suspect apprehension, and tracking people/evidence. Officer Treleven shared that K-9 Riggs is able to locate someone just from the smell of oils their hands leave on regularly used items, like car keys!
The K-9 Unit is fully funded by donations. This includes food and veterinary care for Riggs as well as his annual certifications (even pups have to study and take tests!). If you’re interested in making a donation, you can drop off at the police department or city hall.
We want to express our appreciation again for Officer Treleven and K-9 Riggs taking the time to thank us in person. It’s things like this that make the work we put in worth it! If you’re interested in becoming a part of our club, please send us a message! We’d love to connect!
