Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive Kicks Off

130+ Local Crisis Agencies to Benefit from Hygiene & Cleaning Product Donations

Posted

The Family’s Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive will run from Feb. 23 through March 16. The 33rd annual drive will be collecting personal hygiene and cleaning products for over 130 Wisconsin crisis agencies in 22 communities across Wisconsin. All donations, including financial support, remain in the communities where they are collected. The goal of the drive is to supply a year’s worth of products to each participating agency.

The Family Radio Network, Inc. partners with area homeless and crisis agencies by inviting participating communities to donate hygiene and cleaning products. These products make it possible for the agencies to dedicate their limited financial resources to provide qualified personnel, education, counseling, safe housing, and nutritious food to those they serve. Hygiene and cleaning products are not covered by Wisconsin FoodShare (food stamps / SNAP).

A participating crisis agency representative shared, “Through the Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive we have been able to not only help provide to our clients directly, but to their families, and to others they are in contact with in a similar situation. It is truly amazing that something as small as a stick of deodorant can honestly help get someone on their feet, find hope, and change lives!”

Donate supplies at Festival Foods, Walgreens, or a participating local workplace, church, or school near you. You can also make a financial donation securely online.
