Rebecca “Becky” Danielsen, 64

Rebecca “Becky” Danielsen, of Antigo, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 64 years old.
She was born January 27, 1951 in Fort Dodge, IA, daughter of the late Werner and Erna (Berger) Schultze. She married Joel R. Danielsen on December 29, 1973, and he survives.
Mrs. Danielsen was raised in the rural Fort Dodge, IA area, and graduated valedictorian of her class at Clare-Barnum High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in mathematics at Concordia University of Nebraska.
After college graduation, she taught at Houston Lutheran High School in Houston, TX for a year. She was married in Texas, and the couple moved to Belvidere, Illinois. In Illinois, Mrs. Danielsen was employed as Northeast Regional Administrator for the Belvidere Company. In 1986, the Danielsens moved to Antigo, and she was a stay at home mother for four years. She then began her career as a teller at M&I/BMO Harris Bank. She was later promoted to branch manager, and worked in that position for many years.
Mrs. Danielsen was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, where she served as treasurer of the congregation. She previously served as treasurer for Peace Lutheran Church.
In addition to her church involvement, she was active in the community as a charter member of the Reb Robin Foundation. She also supported the local Habitat for Humanity, and she coordinated the group’s annual flower sale. She promoted downtown beautification initiatives, and other Chamber of Commerce projects. She enjoyed flower gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include 2 daughters, Jennifer (Paul) Farley of St. Paul, MN, and Rachel (Jason) Setliff of Seymour; 2 grandchildren, Shane Setliff, and Corinne Setliff; and 3 sisters, Susan (Todd) Schultze Reddinger of St. Paul, MN; Bernice (Steve) Robb of Waterloo, IA; and Joanne (Tom) Wood of Worcester, MA.
Her parents preceded her in death.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Polar. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 Saturday at the church. Burial will take place at a later date alongside her parents in Fort Dodge, IA. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is serving the family.
