Joseph Halambeck Sr, 84
Joseph Halambeck Sr., of the town of Peck, died Monday, July 13, 2015 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 84 years old. He was born on June 9, 1931 in the town of Peck, a son of John and Emma (Anstutz) Halambeck.
He married Louise Servi on June 6, 1953. She preceded him in death on March 10, 1965. On February 24, 1968 he married Carol Cox. She survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the town of Peck where he operated a dairy farm for many years until retiring in 1993. Mr. Halambeck was a volunteer for the town of Peck fire department for five years and served as town Chairman for 12 years.
His hobbies included hunting and fishing, especially camping and fishing trips to Canada.
He was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva and the Knights of Columbus Council 1002, Antigo.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Karen (Jim) Lyon of Antigo, Janice (Tom) Houdek of Bryant, Kathy (Terry) Zahl of Roberts; five sons, Stephan (Julie) Halambeck of Antigo, Joseph Jr. (Kim) Halambeck of Antigo, Dennis (Tina) Halambeck of Deerbrook, Timothy (Lynn) Halambeck of Ringle, Peter (Tanyia) Halambeck of Deerbrook; 26 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Peterka, Antigo and Alice Servi, Racine.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise; a sister Ann Adelizzi and a brother John Halambeck.
The funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Thursday all at the Bradley Funeral Home.
