Ron Messer, 60
Ronald G. Messer, of Antigo, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 60 years old. He was born on February 16, 1955 in Zion, IL a son of Dixie Lorraine (Whitt) Messer of Antigo and the late Clifford Messer. He married Jill Rosko on January 20, 1990 at Four Corners Assembly of God, White Lake. She survives.
He was a graduate of Zion Benton High School. Mr. Messer worked for the City of Antigo in the Public Works Street Department from 1991 until 2014.
Ron was a member of Four Corners Assembly of God in White Lake, where he was the lead musician and served as Deacon.
He enjoyed playing gospel music with the Stone Soup Brothers and many other musicians throughout the years. He also enjoyed motorcycling, bicycling, spending time with his children, grandchildren and relaxing together with his wife.
In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include two daughters, Jaime (Sean) Greener of Azusa, CA, Stephanie Schweiger of Antigo; three sons, Jeffrey Messer, Ryan (Mandy) Messer, Kyle (Michelle) Messer all of Antigo; grandchildren, Makayla and Bailey Bessert, Morgan Schweiger, Selah and Kaleb Greener, Riley, Makena, Rennen Zahn and one on the way, Gabriel Messer; two sisters, Brenda Messer of White Lake, Sue (Rev. Tim) Wilson of Park Rapids, MN; two brothers, Marty (Chris) Messer of Bryant, Brian (Lynn) Messer of White Lake. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford “Brad” Messer.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Four Corners Assembly of God, White Lake with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Burial will take place in Langlade Cemetery in the town of Wolf River. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and Thursday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
