Robert L Carlson, 88, Township of Hutchins, Shawano County, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

 
He was born on November 19, 1927 in Chicago, the son of the late Paul and Jennifer Carlson.

 
He was united in marriage to Ruth Smithson. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2004.

 
Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked as an electrician for many years.

Survivors include his daughter, Lhia (Timothy) Elder, Alaska; two grandchildren, Heather Marks and Timothy Elder, III; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia (Robert) Newton and one brother, Bruce (Sandy) Carlson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by one brother, Gene.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
